Sooz

[I was late to the Vox party. Someone beat me to sooz.vox -->Oops.] In 1997 a friend gave me the nickname Sooz and it stuck. A few years before that in 1994 I moved to Boston from Nebraska -- thanks to the internet. I like to plan events, take photos, see rock bands and ocassionally drink a tasty bourbon beverage. I am apparently older than I look which will perhaps come in handy when I'm 87. I've been tinkering on the web and internet for a long time but didn't set up my own personal website officially until 2001 when www.sooz.com came to life. I've also got an event blog that's been alive in one form or another since 2002 at www.exploitboston.com. These days it's an event blog + internet radio station featuring Boston bands and a photo collective via Flickr of 130+ photo enthusiasts who share photos they take at Boston area events. Michael and I host Exploit Boston Game Night, a monthly board game night in Allston. It moved to Soul Fire, a tasty BBQ restaurant at 182 Harvard Avenue. It happens the first Tuesday of most every month. The next one is Tuesday, December 5th, 7-11pm. I used to host a lot of social+networking events and look forward to digging back into that again soon. I've been making it down to Austin for the South by Southwest Interactive Festival for many years and one of these days I hope to stick around long enough to attend the music festival, too.
